The Volunteer and Community Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for implementing and coordinating volunteer engagement across the agency and developing community host site partnerships in support of programs including Senior Aide and Mercy Centre. This role requires a proactive, self-directed approach to building volunteer opportunities and community relationships. The position manages the day-to-day coordination of the volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, documentation, and retention, and serves as the primary point of contact for volunteers and volunteer-related issues. In addition, the role builds and maintains relationships with community organizations to secure host sites, guiding partnerships from initial outreach through agreement and supporting successful placements in collaboration with program staff. This is a highly field-based role, with most of the time spent traveling, engaging in the community, and representing the agency externally.
