Requirements

• Four years of paraprofessional experience providing vocational services to individuals with physical, medical, or intellectual disabilities; or A bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, vocational education, vocational counseling, or a related human services field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate individuals to identify their strengths, needs, and most suitable workshop placement
• Lead vocational groups and individual sessions across assigned shop areas
• Demonstrate tasks, guide individuals, and model appropriate workplace behaviors
• Record individual progress and maintain accurate schedules and treatment information
• Monitor materials, place supply orders, and communicate with vendors as needed
• Share recommendations in team meetings and support coordinated treatment planning
