About The Position

Monster stomp Vocalist Auditions are being held for Howl-O-Scream 2026 at SeaWorld Orlando. This is an opportunity for singers to showcase their talent in a high-energy, Halloween-themed event. The role requires strong vocal abilities, stage presence, and the ability to perform in evening hours. SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

• Prepare a 16-bar song selection of pop or rock.
• Bring sheet music for provided pianist (no CD accompaniment).
• Bring audition book.
• Male Vocalist: Singer/mover, mysterious, irresistible, sexy bad boy with a modern edge, strong Pop-Rock singer with rock screams and ability to rap, moves well, top note A.
• Female Vocalist: Singer/mover, sexy, powerful, and feisty, rock/R&B singer who moves well, low to an F#.
• Be available for all rehearsal dates: August 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, September 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 16.
• Be available for all Howl-O-Scream 2026 event nights: September 18, 19, 25, 26, October 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31.
• Wear form fitting dance attire that allows a full range of movement.
• Wear tennis or jazz shoes.
• Prepare a resume and headshot.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to rap (for Male Vocalist).
• Sight reading skills are preferred for Vocalists in general.
• Capacity to hear/sing harmonies is a must for Vocalists in general.
• Partnering skills, break dancing, tumbling, tap, or other specialties are a plus for Dancers (mentioned in general performer roles, may apply to singer/mover roles).
• Technical proficiency in a variety of styles including jazz, musical theatre, ballet, and modern (for Dancers, may apply to singer/mover roles).
• Proficient in percussion, brass, woodwinds or guitar (for Instrumentalists, may apply to singer/mover roles).
• Ability to play varying styles ranging from pop/rock to Motown to gospel and must be able to memorize music for shows and perform with great stage presence (for Instrumentalists, may apply to singer/mover roles).
• Enthusiastic performers, who are passionate about Halloween (for Scare Squad, may apply to event performers).

Responsibilities

• Perform in multiple high-energy shows per day.
• Connect with guests and create memories.
• Sing a 16-bar selection of pop or rock music.
• Potentially sing another song selection from audition book.
• Learn a dance combination.
• Participate in improv and athletic stamina exercises.
• Bring sheet music for provided pianist.
• Be available for all rehearsal and event dates.
