About The Position

Seeking strong guitarists who possess good stage performance skills and are comfortable moving around the stage interacting with other performers. The guitarist needs to be able to read chord changes, solo, and fill around the vocal leads in a variety of styles. This role is for the Monster Stomp Auditions at SeaWorld Orlando.

Requirements

• Strong guitar skills
• Good stage performance skills
• Comfortable moving around the stage
• Comfortable interacting with other performers
• Ability to read chord changes
• Ability to solo
• Ability to fill around vocal leads in a variety of styles
• Ability to perform a range of styles including pop/rock, indie/rock, and hip hop
• Submit a video submission (no longer than 5 minutes)
• Submit resume
• Be available for tentative rehearsal dates (August 21 - September 16)
• Be available for all event dates (September 18 - October 31)
• Proficient in guitar
• Ability to play varying styles ranging from pop/rock to Motown to gospel
• Ability to memorize music for shows
• Perform with great stage presence

Nice To Haves

• Sight reading skills are not required but are preferred for vocalists (implied preference for instrumentalists as well)

Responsibilities

• Read chord changes
• Solo
• Fill around vocal leads in a variety of styles

• Interact with other performers on stage
• Move around the stage
• Be available for all event dates (September 18 - October 31)
• Perform evening shifts (approx. 5:45pm to 12:00am)
