About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment, support each student's musical growth and enjoyment, and contribute to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also includes customer service and frequent communication with students and families about progress and goals. Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and embracing parents' knowledge of their children as music teachers.
Share students' goals and progress frequently with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
