About The Position

Guitar Center is hiring a Music Teacher to teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher helps increase and retain student enrollment while supporting students’ growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provides an excellent customer experience. The teacher partners with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, assists with customer service as needed, and communicates regularly with students and families about progress and goals. Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will teach.

Responsibilities

Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Help students continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
