About The Position

Guitar Center is hiring a Music Teacher to teach music lessons using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher will work to increase student count and help each student grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while supporting a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also involves partnering with students and families, communicating about progress, and helping provide an excellent customer experience. The listed pay is $16.00–$17.00 per hour at the non-teaching rate and up to $26.80 per hour at the total teaching rate, depending on background and experience. Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient; this posting specifically seeks Keyboard proficiency for the listed schedule.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Share students’ goals and progress frequently with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
