About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also supports Guitar Center’s culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and includes providing customer service as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach vocals, an instrument in which the candidate is proficient.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area being taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and build long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships and recognize parents’ knowledge of their child.
- Share each student’s goals and progress frequently with the student and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
