About The Position

Raymour & Flanigan is seeking an entrepreneurial, talented Visual Merchandiser with a passion for home furnishings and room design. As part of the showroom team, the merchandiser contributes to showroom merchandising, displays, and inventory integrity. The role requires creativity, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professional communication, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced culture. The Visual Merchandiser develops and implements in-store displays and merchandising strategies, coordinates merchandise placement and inventory, orders accessories, and works with sales associates and management to create fresh, appealing showroom designs. The role also includes maintaining an organized and welcoming customer environment and performing other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Associate degree in fashion or visual merchandising.
Minimum of two years of style, design, and/or merchandising experience in retail or a comparable field.
Ability to be highly productive for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, reach, twist, push, and pull while moving furniture, accessories, boxes, and packages.
Ability to design a space and enhance a showroom for visual appeal.
Ability to hang wall art.
Ability to paint and touch up walls.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Partner with sales management and the operations team on showroom merchandising, displays, and inventory integrity.
Coordinate placement of new merchandise and conduct periodic physical inventories of furniture and accessories.
Develop, create, and implement in-store displays and other store visuals.
Devise, implement, and execute effective merchandising strategies.
Create and maintain unique visual displays within company guidelines.
Communicate with associates and management to obtain customer feedback.
Order accessories.
Coordinate with sales associates and showroom management to develop creative, artistic in-store displays and continually conceptualize new store design ideas.
Maintain an organized and welcoming store environment that is visually appealing to customers.
Perform additional functions assigned at management's discretion.
