About The Position

Raymour & Flanigan is seeking a talented, entrepreneurial Visual Merchandiser with a passion for home furnishings and room design. As part of the showroom team, the merchandiser contributes to the presentation and organization of the retail showroom, creating appealing displays and a welcoming environment for customers. The role requires creativity, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professional communication, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced culture. The position includes coordinating merchandise placement and inventory, developing and maintaining in-store visuals, ordering accessories, and working with sales associates and management to create fresh showroom designs. The merchandiser may also perform additional duties assigned by management. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future. Requirements

Associate degree in fashion or visual merchandising.
At least two years of style, design, and/or merchandising experience in retail or a comparable field.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to be highly productive for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, reach, twist, push, and pull while moving furniture, accessories, boxes, and packages.
Ability to design spaces and enhance a showroom for visual appeal.
Ability to hang wall art.
Ability to paint and touch up walls.
Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Partner with sales management and operations to merchandise and display the showroom and maintain inventory integrity.
Coordinate placement of new merchandise and conduct periodic physical inventories of furniture and accessories.
Develop, create, and implement in-store displays and other store visuals.
Devise, implement, and execute effective merchandising strategies.
Create and maintain unique visual displays within company guidelines.
Communicate with associates and management to gather customer feedback.
Order accessories.
Coordinate with sales associates and showroom management to develop creative, artistic in-store displays and continually conceptualize fresh store design ideas.
Maintain an organized, welcoming, and visually appealing store environment for customers.
Perform additional functions assigned at management’s discretion.
