About The Position

Broad River Retail is seeking a Visual Merchandiser to join its Visual Impact team. The role leads visual merchandising for one retail location, implementing the in-store merchandising strategy, creating appealing displays, and maintaining brand standards. The position includes visual presentation and product flow, seasonal floor sets, accessory and wall décor placement, clearance merchandising, and improving the guest experience through furniture placement and color and lifestyle stories. The role also includes hiring, developing, and managing showroom associates. The position operates on a contract-to-hire basis. Work is split approximately equally between warehouse assistance, including opening and assembling accessories, and hands-on design work on the showroom floor. Reliable transportation is required to travel within the area of responsibility and assist other designers when needed.

Requirements

At least 2 years of visual merchandising, accessory, and/or retail furniture experience is preferred.
Ability to create and maintain consistent visual and merchandise presentations in accordance with company standards manuals.
Ability to follow verbal and written direction from the Regional Visual Merchandiser and implement it with minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation to travel within the area of responsibility and assist other designers when needed.
Ability to work independently, with a strong work ethic, professional presentation, excellent communication skills, and solid customer service skills.
Strong cognitive skills, including the ability to learn quickly, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, and remain highly productive with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform additional functions assigned at management’s discretion.
Ability to lift and move furniture weighing 50 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of visual merchandising, accessory, and/or retail furniture experience.
Associate degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

Lead visual merchandising for one retail location.
Implement the merchandising strategy in-store and maintain brand standards.
Manage the showroom’s visual presentation and product flow.
Execute and maintain visual displays and seasonal floor sets.
Complete tasks related to display product movement in a timely manner.
Analyze product sales.
Manage and train associates on accessory receiving, informational POP tagging, price tag placement, and lighting.
Distribute accessories and wall décor throughout showroom display areas.
Review clearance and discontinued-product reports.
Re-price and effectively display clearance accessory products.
Improve the guest experience through visual displays, furniture placement, and color and lifestyle stories.
Hire, develop, and manage showroom associates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
