About The Position

As a Visual Department Manager, you'll bring our brand to life through compelling merchandise presentations, inspiring product storytelling, and exceptional customer experiences. You'll play a key role in driving sales, leading visual execution, and developing associates while creating a store environment that sparks excitement and keeps customers coming back.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of retail leadership, visual merchandising, or department management experience preferred
  • Passionate about merchandising, presentation, design, and creating memorable customer experiences
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Comfortable leading, coaching, and motivating teams
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience in specialty retail, apparel, home décor, gifting, lifestyle, or related retail environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create visually compelling merchandise presentations that inspire customers, tell a product story, and drive sales.
  • Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards across apparel, accessories, jewelry, home décor, seasonal merchandise, gifting, and impulse categories.
  • Lead the execution of floor sets, promotional displays, marketing campaigns, and new product launches.
  • Train and coach associates on visual merchandising standards, product presentation, and brand storytelling.
  • Evaluate the sales floor daily and make merchandising adjustments to maximize sales, improve product visibility, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Partner with Store Leadership to identify opportunities related to inventory levels, replenishment, selling trends, and seasonal business needs.
  • Ensure all visual merchandising directives, signage, marketing materials, and promotional displays are executed accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with Store Leadership, District Managers, Corporate Merchandising, Hallmark Merchandisers, and Visual teams.
  • Support the development of associates through coaching, training, recognition, and accountability.
  • Act as a TPS Champion by modeling the G.U.E.S.T. service approach and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Build customer loyalty by creating an inspiring, welcoming, and easy-to-shop store environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and visually impactful sales floor and stockroom.
  • Support inventory accuracy, replenishment processes, and asset protection initiatives.
  • Stay current on product knowledge, promotions, and merchandising trends to ensure the store remains fresh, relevant, and customer-focused.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, sales floor management, and other leadership responsibilities as assigned.
  • Complete all tasks and projects as directed by Store Leadership and District Leadership.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
