About The Position

This project will involve the investigation of in-situ synthesis (hydrothermal, ball mill, etc.) of battery materials, with a focus on Prussian Blue and Prussian blue analogs. Studies will be focused on high resolution powder diffraction, 11-BM, and high-energy diffraction, 11-ID-C. Novel sample environments for in-situ synthesis will be designed, manufactured and characterized. Then these environments will be utilized to determine defect formation, and the correlation between defects and properties in these materials.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.
  • Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
  • The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
