About The Position

The Department of Information Systems & Analytics at the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University, is seeking to fill a Visiting Professor position for the Summer 2026 quarter. This role focuses on specialized executive and graduate courses within operations, technology, and supply chain management. It is a targeted, part-time assignment for a fixed term from June 16, 2026, to September 15, 2026. The position requires a primary in-person presence on campus, supplemented by scheduled virtual sessions.

Requirements

• Hold an advanced graduate degree (Ph.D. or equivalent professor status at a peer academic institution) in a related field.
• Extensive university-level teaching experience.
• Recognized expertise in operations management and supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level coursework, specifically EMBA 910: Managing Operations, Technologies & Supply Chains (6 Units, 2 Course Load).
• Develop syllabi, assignments, and readings that align with course learning outcomes.
• Conduct and appear on time for all scheduled class meetings (including designated in-person and virtual components) and exams as per the Santa Clara University Schedule of Classes.
• Maintain regular weekly office hours on campus at times convenient to students and as determined by the Chair of the Department.
• Use appropriate measures of student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Assign and submit student grades to the Registrar that are an accurate and fair evaluation of student work by quarterly deadlines.
• Administer both quantitative and narrative evaluation instruments as set by your department chair.
• Ensure all work is performed strictly within the dates specified in the employment agreement, and that total workload limitations are respected.
