About The Position

The College of the Arts invites applications for a Visiting Instructor of Commercial Music. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in areas such as Pop Rock Lab Ensemble, Jazz Pop Theory, Songwriting, Worship Leadership Practicum, Worship Music Ensemble, Performance Sound and Production, Entrepreneurship in the Arts, Computer Applications in Music, and Applied Lessons. The position requires a strong commitment to the Christian faith, as well as excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service. Palm Beach Atlantic University is a comprehensive Christian university whose mission is to equip students to grow in wisdom, lead with conviction, and serve God boldly, emphasizing moral, spiritual, and intellectual development.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Commercial Music, Music Technology, Music Industry, Contemporary Music, Music Production, Music Education required, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in music production, songwriting, recording, arranging, music entrepreneurship, and/or contemporary worship leadership.
• Active engagement in professional organizations (such as NAMM) and/or ongoing creative and scholarly activity.
• Commitment to teaching excellence and service to the college, university, and community.
• Demonstrated Christian commitment.
• Ability to integrate faith into coursework.
• At least three (3) references should be included within the CV.

Nice To Haves

• Prior collegiate-level teaching experience.
