About The Position

This position is for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Business with a primary responsibility of teaching undergraduate and graduate (MBA) courses in management. The role involves a course workload of 24 semester hours each year, with 12 semester credit hours during each long semester. It is a nine-month appointment with the possibility of summer teaching for additional compensation. The position also includes service to the department, college, university, and profession through committee assignments and other appropriate avenues. The professor will work under the direction of the Chair or Dean on program development, growth, expansion, and student enrollment and retention. The employee is expected to support the mission of Sul Ross State University by providing high-quality, professional services, timely responses, and solutions to customer requests.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to teach face-to-face, teleconference and online in a dynamic environment with a diverse student population.
  • Adherence to FERPA.
  • Must be classified as Security-Sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094.
  • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times.
