About The Position

The Communication Division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University is seeking applications for two visiting appointments in Communication, starting August 1, 2027. Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s and/or PhD in Communication, with a specialization in interpersonal or organizational communication. The ideal candidates will be capable of teaching a range of courses, including introductory communication classes, Introduction to Public Speaking, and Rhetorical Analysis. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Organizational Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Qualitative Research Methods, and Communication and Conflict. Pepperdine University is a residential liberal arts college with approximately 3,500 students, located in Malibu, California. Requirements

Master’s and/or PhD in Communication.
Emphasis in interpersonal or organizational communication.
Ability to teach across the curriculum, including introductory communication courses, Introduction to Public Speaking and Rhetorical Analysis.
Training to enable instruction in Organizational Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Qualitative Research Methods, and Communication and Conflict.
Active commitment to the Christian mission of the University.
Willingness to support the mission of Seaver College.
Ability to show respect for workplace differences.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.
