About The Position
The Department of Health Sciences and Human Performance within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Tampa invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2026. This is a one-year teaching position that may have some service requirements. Teaching responsibilities will be in the two-semester sequence of human anatomy and physiology courses. Members of the faculty are expected to create engaging, inclusive learning environments that challenge students to reach their potential.
Requirements
- Prior in-person teaching experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence at the university level.
- Earned Doctorate by August 2026 (preferred).
- Earned Master’s Degree in a Health Sciences and Human Performance-related discipline (considered).
- Demonstrated expertise in human anatomy and physiology.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in teaching in-person anatomy and physiology for nursing and health sciences.

- Teach 27 contact hours per academic year.
