About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Virtual Safety Monitor Technician for its Virtual Monitoring Unit in Jacksonville, Florida. The position works the night shift at the Virtual Monitoring Campus. The technician helps keep patients safe through continuous remote observation, reviews assigned patients, and checks that video and communication systems are functioning properly. They monitor live video feeds for signs of distress, confusion, or unsafe movement, provide calm verbal redirection when needed, and promptly alert onsite nursing staff when a patient needs direct assistance.
Requirements
- Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients.
- Verbally redirect patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors.
- If unable to engage the patient, summon onsite nursing staff or a caregiver for assistance.
- Review assigned patients and ensure video and communication systems are functioning properly.
- Monitor live video feeds for signs of distress, confusion, or unsafe movement.
- Promptly alert onsite nursing staff when a patient requires direct assistance.
