About The Position

The Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Nursing Care Team and supports optimal provision of care through collaboration, communication, and facilitation using a computerized and/or digital platform. The RN manages the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge, including assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation. The role uses clinical knowledge, critical thinking, case management principles, and adult education to coordinate, implement, and support care plans and ensure effective transitions across the continuum of care. The RN monitors department-specific quality metrics and ensures complete and accurate documentation in the patient record. This is an onsite position located within the hospital campus.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure within the State of Michigan.
• Minimum ten years of experience in health condition management, including adult condition management.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Specialty credentialing and educational degree according to the clinical nursing practice specialty area.
