About The Position

The Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Nursing Care Team and collaborates, communicates, and facilitates optimal care through a computerized and/or digital platform supporting daily care management. The RN assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge. Using clinical knowledge, critical-thinking skills, case-management principles, and adult-education principles, the RN coordinates, implements, and supports the care plan to ensure an effective and efficient transition of care across the continuum. The RN monitors department-specific quality metrics and ensures complete and accurate documentation in the patient record. This is an onsite position, performed at a location within the hospital campus.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure within the State of Michigan.
• Minimum ten years of experience in health condition management, including adult condition management.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.

Nice To Haves

• Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Specialty credentialing and an educational degree according to the clinical nursing practice specialty area.
