About The Position

The Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Nursing Care Team who collaborates, communicates, and facilitates optimal care through a computerized and/or digital platform to support daily care management. The role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the patient's plan of care from admission through discharge. The nurse applies clinical knowledge, critical thinking, case management principles, and adult education to coordinate, implement, and support the plan of care, ensuring seamless, effective, and efficient transitions across the continuum. The role also monitors department-specific quality metrics and ensures complete and accurate documentation in patient records.

This is an onsite position, with work performed at a location within the hospital campus.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure within the State of Michigan.
• At least 10 years of experience in health condition management, including adult condition management.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Specialty credentialing and an educational degree according to the clinical nursing practice specialty area.
