About The Position

Adolescent Wellness Academy is seeking a bilingual therapist to work as a contract clinician supporting its admissions team. The clinician leads virtual Connection Calls: telehealth intake assessments with adolescents ages 13–17 and their families. Calls include screening for mental health and safety needs and determining whether the Partial Hospitalization (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program may be appropriate. The role supports families in connecting with care and provides the clinical team with an initial clinical picture before treatment begins.

Calls are scheduled Monday through Friday within the 5–8 PM Eastern availability window, based on the clinician’s availability. Clinicians are paid for each booked assessment regardless of its duration. Compensation is $60 per assessment for Florida-licensed clinicians (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) and $35 per assessment for Florida Registered Interns (RMHCI, RCSWI, or RMFTI). Each rate includes the call and documentation. The position is fully remote and classified as a 1099 independent contractor role.

Requirements

• Active Florida license as an LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT, or Florida Registered Intern status (RMHCI, RCSWI, or RMFTI).
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Experience as a counselor, therapist, or clinician working with adolescents in PHP, IOP, or other behavioral health settings.
• Skills in crisis assessment, risk assessment, and de-escalation.
• A private home office with reliable internet for HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions.
• Evening availability Monday through Friday within the 5–8 PM Eastern window.

Responsibilities

• Lead telehealth intake assessments with teens and their parents or caregivers.
• Complete CALOCUS level-of-care screenings, crisis assessments, and suicide risk assessments.
• Recognize when a teen needs crisis intervention, escalation, or a higher level of care.
• Document clinical findings and coordinate admissions with the Admissions and treatment teams.
