About The Position

National General is seeking a skilled Auto Supplement Estimate Writer to join their NEST team. This is a fully virtual production-based desk role with no fieldwork required. The role supports 1st and 3rd party material damage claims by preparing accurate and comprehensive damage estimates. The ideal candidate will have experience writing supplements within the insurance industry, preferably in a carrier environment, and residency within the Eastern Standard Time zone is highly preferred. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective claims diary management, confidence in negotiating with body shops, and a motivation to take on new challenges and grow within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• Possess a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities in complex files across multiple lines.
• Evaluate settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Make decisions on the best settlement option.
• Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.
