About The Position

Snapsheet is the industry leader in virtual property damage claims, providing cloud-based architecture and technical expertise to over 170+ P&C Carriers, MGAs, and TPAs. Our specialized services cover the entire claim lifecycle, including virtual handling for auto, specialty lines, total loss, and total loss settlements. This role is for an analytical reviewer with high-level problem-solving skills who thrives on executing tactical, high-volume work. The Virtual Claims Negotiator is a technical expert responsible for ensuring repair plans are consistent with the reported facts of loss, identifying discrepancies, and escalating questionable damages to leadership or the carrier. This is a high-volume production environment where accuracy is paramount.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience writing auto property claims.
  • Deep understanding of DRP (Direct Repair Program) workflows.
  • Proven Volume (Required): History of handling 10–16 desk reviews per day or experience in high-volume CAT deployments.
  • Extensive working experience in CCC One is required.
  • Comfortable and confident in technology-heavy workflows and the self-direction that remote work requires.
  • Must currently hold a valid state insurance appraisal license or complete an online licensing class (paid for by Snapsheet). Non-licensed candidates are required to successfully complete all coursework and the final exam prior to their offer letter start date.

Nice To Haves

  • 3–6 years of auto physical damage claims handling experience preferred.
  • Background in both insurance carrier operations and collision repair environments.
  • Carrier/IA (Field): History of successfully managing 6-10 field estimates per day.
  • Shop: Proven history of personal ownership over $100k+ in monthly individual sales.
  • Experience in high-competition, high-volume metro markets (e.g., Dallas, Chicago, Tampa).

Responsibilities

  • Technical Negotiation: Negotiate complex supplements and repair logic with body shops, ensuring estimates comply with carrier guidelines while maintaining professional rapport.
  • High-Volume Execution: Manage a high-speed desk, maintaining quality while meeting or exceeding a threshold of 10–16 claims per day.
  • Technical Defense: Utilize CCC One and other estimating platforms to write fair and accurate estimates to return vehicles to preloss condition based on photos, supporting repair decisions with data and logic.
  • Documentation Excellence: Maintain meticulous, real-time documentation of all interactions with internal and external customers, ensuring clarity and process compliance.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to pivot between diverse carrier workflows while maintaining a consistent, polished professional tone in both written and verbal correspondence.
  • Professional Conduct: Effectively represent Snapsheet and carrier partners by resolving technical challenges with diplomacy, precision, and adherence to established guidelines.
