About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a violin teacher to teach and inspire students in a supportive, engaging, and safe learning environment. The teacher will provide private music lessons to students of different ages and skill levels, help students develop their musical abilities, and communicate with students and parents about goals and progress. The role partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position offers a non-teaching rate of $12.77 per hour and a teaching rate of $11–$22, depending on background and experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially on violin.

Nice To Haves

• Further teaching experience with related instruments.
• Master’s or doctoral degree in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments: banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
