About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking an educator and skilled musician to teach private violin lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. They build positive relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and work with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The listed pay is $12.77 per hour for non-teaching time, plus a teaching rate of $11–$22 depending on background and experience. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially on violin.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience with related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
