To perform a variety of activities directed at maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency for tasks performed by field personnel. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of field personnel, carrying out work assigned by the Vineyard Manager, and training personnel in scheduling, methods, safety, and vineyard-related rules and regulations. The Foreman will maintain close supervision of field crews, ensuring proper procedures and quality of work in tasks such as pruning, tying, suckering, canopy manipulation, thinning, and grape harvest. The position also requires performing and teaching routine vineyard tasks, operating, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs on irrigation systems, and identifying and correcting minor vineyard problems. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with tractor and sprayer operation, shop and equipment maintenance, payroll computation, and conflict resolution, along with an understanding of Federal and State Food Safety Standards for grape harvesting and transportation.
