About The Position

We are seeking a Vineyard Foreman who is passionate about viticulture and eager to build a long-term career in vineyard management. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll work alongside an experienced team, develop technical expertise, and take on increasing responsibility over time. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to premium vineyard operations in a progressive, sustainability-focused environment. About the Role Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, you will support the day-to-day execution of vineyard operations across our premium estate vineyards at Naramata Ranch. You’ll play an active role in field work, team coordination, and learning best-in-class viticulture practices. This role is ideal for someone looking to step into leadership while continuing to build strong technical vineyard skills.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of vineyard or agriculture experience (or relevant education with practical exposure)
  • A genuine passion for viticulture and winegrowing, with a desire to grow into a leadership role
  • Hands-on experience with vineyard tasks such as pruning, canopy work, irrigation, or harvest
  • Basic experience operating vineyard equipment (tractor experience an asset; training provided)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Valid driver's license; willingness to obtain certifications (e.g. pesticide applicator, first aid)

Responsibilities

  • Work hands-on in the vineyard across all seasonal activities: planting, pruning, canopy management, irrigation, pest management, and harvest
  • Support the coordination of daily vineyard tasks, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
  • Assist in guiding and mentoring vineyard crew members, leading by example in the field
  • Learn and apply irrigation scheduling, crop monitoring, and vine health assessment techniques
  • Operate vineyard machinery (tractors, sprayers, ATVs) with a focus on safety and precision
  • Work closely with the Viticulture and Technical teams to execute work plans
  • Contribute to accurate recordkeeping, including timesheets, vineyard inputs, and production tracking systems
  • Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and teamwork in all vineyard activities
