About The Position

This role involves evaluating and executing infrastructure investment opportunities across various sectors including energy, transportation, digital, and water and waste. The Vice President will be responsible for market research, financial modeling and analysis, and overall project management. Key responsibilities include monitoring the performance of acquired infrastructure investments, conducting regular valuations, assisting with financing transactions, and tracking investment performance. The role also requires supporting deal team members on new platform investments, add-on investments, divestitures, and related financings. This includes processing new investment opportunities from market assessment to initial underwriting and deal structuring, performing due diligence, managing external advisors, and building financial models for underwriting and structuring. Ad-hoc analysis for transaction negotiations and hands-on support to portfolio companies are also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience as an Investment Banking Associate, Investment Banking Analyst, or a related role.
  • Five (5) years of experience with infrastructure investing in energy, transportation, digital, water and waste sectors.
  • Five (5) years of experience with infrastructure (oil, gas, renewables, transportation, digital, waste) industry and company research skills.
  • Five (5) years of experience with analytical, financial modeling, and accounting skills, including competence with financial statements and analysis.
  • Proficiency with LBO, NPV, and DCF modeling (both developing and utilizing existing models).
  • Five (5) years of experience in investment banking and private equity, including M&A, Leveraged Buyout Analysis, Discounted Cash Flow Analysis “DCFs”, Restructuring, Comparables Analysis, and Precedent Transaction Analysis.
  • Five (5) years of experience with forecasting, including operating and scenario analysis, and investment underwriting and evaluation analysis.
  • Use Excel to analyze budgets, interact with key members of management, position businesses for exit, and assist with sales of portfolio companies.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and execute infrastructure investment opportunities across the energy, transportation, digital, and water and waste sectors.
  • Conduct market research, financial modeling and analysis, and overall project management for infrastructure investments.
  • Monitor performance of key value drivers for infrastructure investments post-acquisition.
  • Conduct valuations regularly and assist with the execution of on-going financing transactions.
  • Track general investment performance.
  • Collaborate with and support deal team members on new platform investments, add-on investments, divestitures, and related financings.
  • Process new investment opportunities, from market assessment and competitive positioning to initial underwriting and deal structuring.
  • Perform diligence efforts on pursued deals, including business diligence, risk underwriting, and managing external advisors.
  • Build robust, flexible financial models to support deal underwriting and deal structuring.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support transaction negotiations.
  • Provide hands-on support to portfolio companies.
