About The Position

Goldman Sachs Bank USA is seeking a Vice President in Atlanta, Georgia, to work in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to meet internal and regulatory requirements. This role will leverage experience in the financial services industry to transition large and complex financial applications to the cloud. The Vice President will own and drive the process for planning, prioritizing, and delivering new products and features, acting as a liaison between stakeholders, users, and product engineers. They will perform the role of a scrum master, guiding the team in agile methodology, and create detailed business analysis plans. Key responsibilities include ensuring clarity in project requirements, managing implementations, ensuring project quality, delivering presentations, assessing and streamlining existing processes based on customer feedback, providing support and advice on project management tools and methodologies, and managing the user-facing documentation lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a relevant analytical field such as Business Administration and three (3) years of experience in job offered or related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a relevant analytical field such as Business Administration and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related role.
  • Prior experience must include three (3) years with Master’s OR five (5) years with Bachelor’s with the following: full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support.
  • Building multi-threaded and multi-process service-oriented C++ or Java enterprise applications within a Unix environment.
  • Programming technologies including Java, Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
  • Relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Sybase or Oracle.
  • Micro-services architecture design and development including REST, Java, Spring, or other back-end technologies.
  • Database query languages, including SQL or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.

Responsibilities

  • Work in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to meet internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Take large and complex financial applications to cloud using project or program experience in the financial services industry.
  • Own and drive the process to plan, prioritize and deliver new products and features.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, users, and product engineers and prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Perform the role of a scrum master driving the team towards agile methodology of development.
  • Create detailed business analysis plans outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Ensure clarity in assigned project requirements to support the development of technical solutions that meet client needs, including managing implementations.
  • Ensure the quality of the project items, deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations, and communicate challenging and sensitive information tactfully.
  • Assess and streamline existing process based on customer feedback increasing operational efficiency.
  • Provide hands-on support and advice to management and leadership teams on project management tools and methodologies.
  • Own user facing documentation lifecycle management, including posting new features, sample code, starter projects along with tracking feedback and making updates.
