Vice President, Data Platform Engineering
About The Position
This role involves working with retired and active application data archiving, and retention policies. The position requires capturing archiving requirements, performing data discovery and analysis in source systems, and converting requirements into design and sizing of archival datasets. It also includes disaster recovery planning and working on enterprise infrastructure at the enterprise platform level. The role will handle complex data models and mappings in Solix, map, configure, and migrate retired application data into Solix, and coordinate application decommissions after data archiving. A key aspect of this role is working with data privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and CDPA. The position will implement full application data archiving and active data archiving of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from various sources. Management of Amazon ECS, AWS, EKS, PCF, cloud watch logs, infra monitoring, patching, and vulnerable remediation is also required. The role will address issues, remediations, processes, compliance, and audit findings and measurements. Experience with Solix Common Data Platform (CDP) 2.6/3.0 is essential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field of study.
- Five (5) years of experience with Solix as retired applications data archiving, active application data archiving, retention policies, reports, and forms.
- Five (5) years of experience with application of data archiving and active data archiving of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from applications, data, and object sources.
- Five (5) years of experience with complex data models and mappings.
- Five (5) years of experience with project full lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture and design, scoping, implementation, and operationalization.
- Five (5) years of experience with enterprise infrastructure.
- Five (5) years of experience with secret engines and PCF within the cloud native infrastructure.
- Five (5) years of experience with continuous integration and delivery pipeline deployments of applications to AWS containers and different servers.
- Five (5) years of experience with Solix CDP 2.6/3.0.
Responsibilities
- Work with retired applications data archiving, active application data archiving, and retention policies.
- Capture archiving requirements and perform data discovery and analysis in source systems.
- Convert requirements into design and size archival data sets.
- Perform disaster recovery planning and work on the Enterprise infrastructure at the enterprise platform level using Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, PCF, HashiCorp Vault, JFrog Artifactory, and JFrog-XRay.
- Handle complex data models and mappings in Solix.
- Map, configure, and migrate retired application data into Solix.
- Coordinate application decommissions after data archiving.
- Work with data privacy laws, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Colorado Privacy Act (CDPA).
- Implement full application data archiving and active data archiving of structured data, semi-structured data, and unstructured data from applications, data, and object sources.
- Manage the Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), cloud watch logs, infra monitoring, patching, and vulnerable remediation.
- Work on issues, remediations, processes, compliance, and audit findings and measurements.
- Work with Solix Common Data Platform (CDP) 2.6/3.0.
