About The Position
Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineer in New York, New York to design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. Develop software services to onboard trading and post-trading workflows for various asset classes including Equity and Options on distributed system architecture. Design and Implement Order State Management related components for Trading platforms. Conduct scrums and handle deliverables. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Requirements
- Requires a Master’s in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field of study
- Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Assistant Manager Technology, Technology Lead, Systems Project Manager, Technology Specialist, or related occupation in the technology field
- The employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience as an Assistant Manager Technology, Technology Lead, Systems Project Manager, Technology Specialist, or related occupation in the technology field in lieu of a Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience
- Requires three (3) years of experience with Java; Linux; Unix; Kafka; MQ; SQL; JDBC, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design concepts; Relational Databases; Unit testing; performance testing; Git; Perl or Shell Scripting; MS SQL Server; Redis; NoSQL databases; Spring Framework; XML; Distributed messaging; Multi-threaded server-side development; Web Services (RESTful and SOAP); and Apache Camel.
- Requires one (1) year of experience with JMS.
