About The Position

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineer in New York, New York to design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. Develop software services to onboard trading and post-trading workflows for various asset classes including Equity and Options on distributed system architecture. Design and Implement Order State Management related components for Trading platforms. Conduct scrums and handle deliverables.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s in Educational Technology, Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or a related field of study.
Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Assistant Manager Technology, Technology Lead, Systems Project Manager, Technology Specialist, or related occupation in the technology field.
Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: Java; Unix; MQ; Relational Databases; Unit testing; Shell Scripting; MS SQL Server; Spring Framework; Hibernate; XML; and Web Services (RESTful or SOAP).
Requires four (4) years of experience with the Kafka; SQL; JDBC, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design concepts; performance testing; Git; Gradle; Radis; Distributed messaging; Multi-threaded server-side development; and Apache Camel.

Responsibilities
