About The Position

The Vice President, Sales Operations is responsible for leading the strategy, systems, and processes that power AbsenceSoft's go-to-market engine. This is an executive role with enterprise-wide reach, owning forecasting, territory and compensation design, sales technology, and the analytics leadership relies on to make confident decisions. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, partnering directly with the Chief Revenue Officer and other executive leaders to translate company strategy into a scalable, efficient sales organization. The ideal candidate is equally skilled at strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with experience running sales operations at scale in a B2B SaaS environment and a track record of turning ambiguity into repeatable process. This role directly influences revenue predictability, sales productivity, and the effectiveness of AbsenceSoft's sales organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or a related function within a B2B SaaS company, including several years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience operating at the executive level, including presenting to senior leadership and Board members and influencing company-wide strategy.
  • Proven track record of designing and running sales forecasting, territory planning, and compensation processes for a growing sales organization.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar) and the broader sales technology ecosystem (Gong, Outreach, CPQ, IronClad, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for executive and board audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, and to influence peers and executives without direct authority.
  • Strategic operator who translates company objectives into scalable sales processes and systems.
  • Trusted executive partner who influences decisions at the CRO and board level with data-driven insights.
  • Skilled people leader who builds and develops high-performing operations teams.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with ability to translate complex data into clear executive narratives.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who aligns Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success around shared revenue goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HR technology, HCM, payroll, or absence and leave management software.
  • Experience scaling a sales organization through a high-growth stage, including system and process re-platforming.
  • Familiarity with sales performance and compensation tools such as CPQ platforms.
  • Certified Sales Operations Professional (CSOP) or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own the annual sales planning process, including territory design, quota setting, and capacity modeling in partnership with the CRO and Finance.
  • Build and continuously refine the sales forecasting methodology, delivering accurate, defensible forecasts to executive leadership and the board.
  • Design and administer sales compensation plans that align incentives with company revenue goals.
  • Own the sales technology stack (CRM, CPQ, forecasting, and enablement tools), setting the roadmap for what the team needs to scale efficiently.
  • Streamline the deal lifecycle from opportunity creation through contract execution, removing friction and reducing time-to-close.
  • Establish and govern sales processes, playbooks, and deal desk policies that scale as the organization grows.
  • Build the dashboards and reporting cadence that give executive leadership real-time visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and sales representative productivity.
  • Identify trends and root causes behind performance gaps, and translate data into recommendations that change how the business operates.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales operations team, setting the vision for how the function supports the broader sales organization.
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product leadership to align go-to-market strategy with company-wide priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CRO and executive team, shaping decisions on headcount planning, market segmentation, and go-to-market investment.
  • Champion sales enablement and onboarding programs that shorten ramp time and improve sales representative productivity.
  • Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.
  • Assist in maintaining applicable organizational security and compliance controls within your department, role, and subordinates' roles.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture within the sales operations team by setting clear standards for rigor and follow-through, recognizing strong execution, and creating space for the team to take ownership.
