About The Position

Motorsport Network is a global media, technology, and events platform reaching over 40 million fans. The company operates brands like Motorsport.com and Autosport. They are looking for a VP, Head of Industry to own commercial relationships across Financial Services, FinTech, Gaming & Betting, and Technology. This is an individual contributor role for a sector specialist with deep industry knowledge and relationships. The motorsport audience is highly valuable, with fans being high-income, engaged consumers interested in financial products, technology, and sports betting. The role requires changing how the company goes to market, influencing product and content strategy, and establishing Motorsport Network as an indispensable partner for brands in these sectors. The ideal candidate understands the regulatory landscape, compliance constraints, media buying dynamics, and creative possibilities within these industries and can translate this knowledge into commercially transformative outcomes.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of senior commercial experience in media, sponsorship, or marketing partnerships.
  • Direct sector exposure in at least two of: Financial Services, FinTech, Gaming & Betting, or Technology.
  • Demonstrable network of senior relationships with brand-side marketing decision-makers and agency partners across your sectors.
  • Proven track record of closing large, complex, multi-year partnership deals (ideally seven-figure) at a media, sports, or entertainment property.
  • Deep understanding of the digital media and advertising landscape, including programmatic, branded content, video, and integrated sponsorship models.
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory and compliance considerations that govern advertising in financial services and gambling categories.
  • Credibility and commercial sophistication to operate as a peer to VP and C-level clients.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at or closely with a sports media property, rights holder, or premium publisher with financial services, gaming, or technology clients.
  • Established relationships within the sports betting or iGaming ecosystem, particularly with brands that have active US market strategies.
  • Understanding of how technology and FinTech brands approach audience targeting, performance measurement, and partnership ROI differently from traditional advertisers.
  • Familiarity with how AI, connectivity, and consumer technology brands are increasingly activating through sport and motorsport as a demonstration platform.
  • Track record of building practices or verticals from scratch.
  • Comfort operating in a globally distributed, fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Genuine interest in motorsport and the high-performance automotive world and affinity for the culture.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver annual revenue targets across all four verticals (Financial Services, FinTech, Gaming & Betting, Technology), with accountability to the Global CCO.
  • Define the go-to-market strategy for each sector, including priority accounts, deal structures, and pricing frameworks.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline with accurate forecasting and senior visibility into deal progression.
  • Serve as the primary executive relationship holder for key brand and agency partners across the four verticals.
  • Operate at C-suite and VP level with clients, functioning as a trusted strategic advisor.
  • Navigate complex agency ecosystems, including holding companies, media agencies, and sector-specialist shops, to influence planning and buying decisions.
  • Originate, structure, and close multi-platform, multi-year partnerships spanning digital media, branded content, sponsorship, video, social, and experiential.
  • Work with editorial, creative, and product teams to develop bespoke solutions that deliver measurable client outcomes.
  • Champion client needs internally, ensuring Motorsport Network’s commercial offerings evolve to meet sector demands.
  • Maintain working knowledge of advertising regulations governing financial services and gambling/betting marketing in key markets.
  • Ensure all partnership proposals are structured to pass client compliance review.
  • Serve as an internal resource for compliance-adjacent questions.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of each sector’s competitive dynamics, media investment trends, audience strategies, and marketing priorities.
  • Translate client and market intelligence into strategic recommendations for leadership on product, content, and commercial positioning.
  • Represent Motorsport Network at high-profile industry events and conferences.
  • Collaborate with global sales colleagues to ensure sector expertise is shared and leveraged across markets.
  • Partner with marketing and communications to develop sector-specific thought leadership and case study content.
  • Contribute to the development of Motorsport Network’s broader commercial strategy alongside the CCO and senior leadership team.

Benefits

  • On Target Earnings $250K to $375K - Range includes Base plus variable compensation.
  • Compensation package will depend on experience and training.
