About The Position

The Vice President, Regional AI Forward Deployed Leader will build and lead a regional practice deploying AI and value-focused forward-deployed teams for insurance customers. The role establishes customer-funded pods with a Value FDE and an AI-FDE as their persistent core, allocates limited capacity to qualified accounts and use cases, and drives a repeatable process from idea through production and the next opportunity. The leader is accountable for production adoption, customer self-sufficiency, reuse, staffing, bench risk, travel, and pod economics, while maintaining a strong hiring and retention bar. The role also manages regional Hub Leads and leads the field-to-Product/R&D feedback loop with AIP and agent engineering. It works alongside BVDA/BVDE/PDE and Delivery Squad leadership without duplicating their account or delivery responsibilities. Success is measured by productive pod deployment, production value and adoption, hiring quality and retention, reuse and catalogue contribution, handoff quality, customer self-sufficiency, pod economics, and effective use of scarce capacity.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership of high-calibre technical and/or customer-facing product engineering teams.
  • Technical judgment sufficient to assess AI-FDE quality and customer judgment sufficient to assess Value FDEs.
  • Experience building a new capability and deploying AI into complex enterprises, with the ability to maintain high hiring standards under hiring pressure.
  • At least 8 years delivering software or AI solutions at customer sites.
  • At least 3 years leading teams of 10 or more.
  • Hands-on experience with AI agents and large language models in production, or a deep enterprise software delivery record and motivation to develop this expertise quickly.
  • Credibility with business leaders and the ability to lead workshops with executives and design reviews with engineers.
  • Insurance or financial services experience.
