Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field plus 7 years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Experience must include the following: Java; SQL; Azure; Unix; and production incident management.
  • The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end production support for Java/JEE applications deployed in Azure and on-premises environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve production incidents and software issues, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and prepare detailed incident reports.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for supported processes, updating materials to reflect changes or enhancements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define and design project scope.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring for all supported components to enable proactive alerting.
  • Improve system capacity, performance, and 24x7 availability.
  • Refactor and optimize existing applications to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Generate ad hoc reports to support business requirements.
  • Participate in incident review meetings to analyze trends and define new policies and procedures that improve application stability and reliability.
  • Mentor and train junior team members.
  • Partner with business teams to understand user needs and contribute to roadmaps for new processes and features.
