About The Position

Senseye is a NeuroTechnology Company in Austin, TX focused on revolutionizing Mental Health through objective diagnostics measured via the eye using mobile phones. The company is developing its first diagnostic for PTSD, which is entering clinical trials, with plans for Anxiety and Depression diagnostics to follow. This role is crucial for bringing user-centered product discipline to the platform, ensuring clinical usability, workflow fit, and a real-world product experience. The Vice President, Product will define what the product must become and ensure cross-functional teams are aligned to achieve this, particularly as the company moves towards clinical deployment. This is a Vice President-level role requiring experience with FDA-regulated software medical devices and a strong motivation to learn and contribute.

Requirements

  • Direct experience working on a FDA-regulated software medical device, preferably one that you helped bring to market.
  • Diagnostics, digital health, or software as a medical device background.
  • 8–10 years of product experience, very comfortable working in a very agile environment.
  • Deep understanding of the TPP framework and what it means to define a product for simultaneous clinical, regulatory, and commercial use.
  • Able to work credibly and collaboratively alongside AI engineers, clinical scientists, regulatory specialists, and market access strategists.
  • User-centered product instincts; understanding that scientific validity and clinical usability are both important but different problems, and knowing how to close the gap between them.
  • Motivated to learn and help to define product direction; able, willing, and excited to take what you know and apply it in new ways and take on challenges that require flexibility in thinking.
  • Comfortable in a 20-person company where Vice President Product means you are also doing the work.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the Target Product Profile (TPP), the authoritative document describing the product's function, target users, conditions of use, and standards.
  • Ensure product attributes address the needs of clinicians, patients, and payers, accounting for their distinct requirements within the TPP.
  • Coordinate with Market Access to align product positioning with emerging society guidelines and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) needs.
  • Own the standard for clinical usability, establishing and driving towards 'good' for clinicians and patients.
  • Lead UI/UX development by working with design and engineering teams to define necessary changes based on clinical workflow reality and physician input.
  • Translate physician research findings into prioritized, actionable product improvements.
  • Build the feedback loop between pilot deployments and product improvements, ensuring learnings feed into the product roadmap.
  • Own the product roadmap and work with the cross-functional team to execute it.
  • Own the app experience and hardware expansion, working with mobile engineers to address usability gaps.
  • Define the product’s fit within clinical workflows across agreed channels and sites of care.
  • Lead investigative work on clinical integrations, defining integration targets, user base, and functional requirements.
