About The Position

The VP, Portfolio Management is an individual contributor responsible for financial analysis and underwriting in support of multimillion-dollar corporate credit requests that grow funded assets and Key’s client base while maintaining asset quality within a moderate risk profile. Credit requests may include new, sometimes complex exposure—such as revolving credit facilities, term loans, leases, foreign exchange and derivatives products, and other ancillary products—as well as amendments to existing exposure. The role also manages ongoing credit monitoring and risk ratings for a portfolio of corporate clients with complexity appropriate to the incumbent’s experience. The portfolio primarily consists of participations in other banks’ syndicated deals, with a small number of left-lead deals. The VP reviews legal documentation and assists product partners with cross-selling bank products. They demonstrate leadership in credit underwriting and portfolio management, work independently or on a deal team, and provide guidance and feedback to junior staff as appropriate. As part of the first line of defense, the VP supports business growth while maintaining a moderate risk appetite and protecting asset quality. The position is hybrid, with an expectation of at least three in-office days per week for candidates near a KeyBank non-branch facility. Remote options may be considered for candidates not located near a KeyBank location. Occasional travel, including overnight stays, is required. The position is based at 127 Public Square, Cleveland, Ohio, with preferred locations in the East or Central region. The annual base salary range is $96,000–$181,000, with eligibility for incentive compensation that may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives. Placement in the range may depend on skills, experience, and geographic location. The posting refers candidates to a separate benefits list but does not specify individual benefits.
