KeyBank•Cleveland, OH

About The Position

The Vice President, Portfolio Management is an individual-contributor role that performs financial analysis and prepares underwriting documents for multimillion-dollar corporate credit requests. The role supports growth in funded assets and Key’s client base while maintaining asset quality within a moderate risk profile. Credit requests include new, sometimes complex, exposure such as revolving credit facilities, term loans, leases, foreign exchange products, derivatives, and other ancillary products, as well as amendments to existing exposure. The position manages ongoing credit monitoring and risk ratings for a portfolio of corporate clients, with complexity commensurate with experience. The portfolio primarily includes participation in other banks’ syndicated deals and a small number of left-lead deals. The VP also reviews legal documentation and assists product partners with cross-selling bank products. The role calls for leadership in credit underwriting and portfolio management, independent work or collaboration with other Portfolio Managers on deal teams, and appropriate guidance and feedback to junior staff. As part of the first line of defense, the VP is expected to support line-of-business goals with a solutions-oriented, growth mindset while maintaining a moderate risk appetite and upholding asset quality. The role is based in a hybrid work environment, generally requiring at least three days per week in the office for employees located near a KeyBank facility. Cleveland, Ohio is strongly preferred. A home-based option may be considered for candidates not located near a KeyBank location, with travel as needed. Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
