About The Position

The Associate, Portfolio Management is an individual contributor on the Commercial Upper Middle Market Team. The role performs financial analysis and prepares underwriting documents to support multimillion-dollar corporate credit requests, grow funded assets and the client base, and maintain asset quality within a moderate risk profile. Credit requests may include new revolving credit facilities, term loans, leases, foreign exchange products, derivatives, other ancillary products, and amendments to existing exposure. The Associate supports ongoing credit monitoring and risk rating for a portfolio of corporate clients whose complexity is commensurate with the Associate’s experience, primarily through participation in other banks’ syndicated deals. The role reviews legal documentation and assists product partners with cross-selling bank products. Associate Portfolio Managers demonstrate emerging leadership in credit underwriting and portfolio management, working independently or with Portfolio Managers on deal teams and providing feedback and guidance to Analysts and third-party staff as appropriate. As a first line of defense, they support business goals while maintaining a moderate risk appetite and upholding asset quality. The position is hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office. Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
