This is a senior commercial leadership role overseeing Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Strategy across a large, growing portfolio of hotels. The role is centrally based in Richmond, VA, with minimal travel by design, allowing more time for leading the team and shaping strategy. The position involves leading the full commercial engine as one aligned system to outperform the market, defining competitive strategies, investment areas, and growth plans. The role requires partnering directly with executive leadership on portfolio strategy, acquisitions, and repositioning efforts. Success in the first year involves driving measurable RevPAR Index growth, establishing a consistent commercial rhythm, improving sales team performance, sharpening marketing efforts for demand generation and ROI, and building a strong talent bench. This is a build-and-elevate role, not a maintenance role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full commercial engine, integrating Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Strategy into one aligned system.
  • Define how the company competes, where it invests, and how it grows.
  • Partner directly with executive leadership on portfolio strategy, acquisitions, and repositioning efforts.
  • Drive measurable RevPAR Index growth across the portfolio.
  • Establish a clear, consistent commercial rhythm across all properties.
  • Ensure sales leaders are aligned, accountable, and performing at a higher level.
  • Sharpen marketing efforts to drive demand, improve ROI, and strengthen brand presence.
  • Build a strong, stable bench of talent ready to scale with the company.
  • Create clarity, accountability, and performance across the sales organization, from account strategy to execution.
  • Partner deeply with Revenue Management to drive pricing, segmentation, and demand strategy that maximizes profitability.
  • Lead modern, data-driven marketing that increases direct demand, improves ROI, and strengthens brand presence.
