About The Position

The Capital District YMCA is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Property to direct the functions of property management for the Association. This role involves maintaining an inventory of properties and facilities, forecasting for new development, renovation of existing facilities, and the disbursement of surplus physical assets. The Vice President of Property will develop and execute a comprehensive property management strategy to ensure safe, functional, compliant, and well-maintained facilities that support the YMCA's mission and operational goals. As a member of the Senior Management Team, this position will influence the organization's activities and direction at all levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Property Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in Property Management & Development.
  • Knowledge of construction and maintenance systems and the management thereof.
  • Ability to manage contracts and work with people.
  • Ability to represent the Capital District YMCA in all areas and before all groups that have interest in the property and facility related activity of the Association.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of the YMCA and its capacity to build strong kids, families and communities.
  • Ability to present self and YMCA professionally at all times.
  • Ability to articulate and model YMCA’s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Pool Operator.
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations, healthcare systems, higher education institutions, and/or municipalities.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the functions of property management of the Association.
  • Maintain an inventory of properties and facilities.
