Nava is a consultancy and public benefit corporation working to make government services simple and effective. Since 2015, federal, state, and local agencies have trusted Nava to help solve highly scrutinized technology modernization challenges. As a client services company, we guide agencies constrained by legacy systems to a future with sharp user experiences built on secure, reliable, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure. We bill for our time, offering our expertise and problem-solving approach to help our government partners enhance their digital products and services. People are at the heart of our work, from members of the public who rely on benefit programs to government agency staff. Through human-centered design and modern engineering best practices, we help our government partners understand user needs and deliver on their missions more effectively. This focus gives everyone at Nava the opportunity to do work that is meaningful, impactful, and deeply connected to public good. The Vice President of Product is a company-level leader who is the head of Nava’s product practice, a core member of Delivery leadership, and a member of Nava’s executive team. This leader directly shapes Nava's competitiveness and the quality of the outcomes we deliver for government clients and for the public. The VP sets the strategic direction for Nava’s Product practice, a department of 75+ product managers and policy strategists who work across over two dozen federal and state government contracts. They work closely with two Product Directors to build Nava’s product management practice, oversee hiring and staffing decisions, and coach Nava delivery teams. As a product leader, the VP ensures that Nava stays at the forefront of how modern product teams work, shaping how the practice builds with AI in regulated public sector environments, and directing product strategy for capabilities and solutions that differentiate Nava in the government market. The VP of Product operates within a matrixed organization where successful delivery outcomes depend on close coordination across: Program Delivery for multiple portfolios, Product, Engineering, and Design practices, Delivery Operations, Finance, People Operations, and Business Development. Rather than relying on direct authority over every product team, the VP succeeds by ensuring that product managers know how to maximize the value their teams deliver, modeling and coaching strong cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring that teams understand how their work connects to company goals.
