About The Position

The Vice President of PMO is a strategic executive responsible for establishing, leading, and scaling an enterprise Project Management Office across VMC Group. This role ensures disciplined execution of strategic initiatives, capital projects, product launches, operational improvements, and ERP-driven transformation efforts across all business units. The VP of PMO will serve as the central governance leader for enterprise project prioritization, execution standards, resource allocation, and benefits realization ensuring all initiatives are aligned to corporate objectives, operational capacity, and financial targets. This role is critical in driving transformation across manufacturing operations, supply chain modernization, and digital ERP enablement (Epicor/Kinetic environment).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in program/project management leadership
  • 5+ years in PMO leadership or enterprise program governance role
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineered products, or industrial operations strongly preferred
  • Proven success leading large-scale transformation or multi-site capital programs
  • Strong ERP implementation or optimization experience (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, hybrid models)
  • Enterprise program and portfolio management
  • Strategic planning and execution discipline
  • Financial acumen and capital planning
  • Cross-functional leadership across Operations, Engineering, IT, and Supply Chain
  • Strong communication and executive stakeholder management
  • Change management and transformation leadership
  • Data-driven decision making and KPI governance

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead an enterprise PMO framework, including methodology, governance standards, and reporting structure
  • Define project prioritization criteria aligned with corporate strategy and operational capacity
  • Create standardized tools, templates, and stage-gate processes for all capital and operational projects
  • Oversee enterprise project portfolio management and executive reporting cadence
  • Lead cross-functional execution of strategic initiatives across operations, engineering, supply chain, and IT
  • Drive execution of large-scale transformation programs including ERP optimization and process standardization
  • Ensure successful delivery of capital expansion, facility upgrades, and manufacturing modernization projects
  • Coordinate interdependencies across multiple concurrent programs and sites
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain leadership to ensure project alignment with production capacity and demand
  • Support plant-level execution of improvement initiatives and capital projects
  • Ensure PMO integrates with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts
  • Align project execution with operational KPIs such as throughput, cost, and delivery performance
  • Oversee project governance for ERP initiatives including system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations
  • Partner with IT and operations teams to ensure successful adoption of Epicor Kinetic
  • Ensure data integrity, process standardization, and system-driven accountability across projects
  • Lead digital transformation roadmap execution across manufacturing and back-office systems
  • Manage enterprise project portfolio budget, including capital and operational expenditures
  • Track and report project ROI, benefits realization, and financial performance
  • Partner with Finance to ensure capital requests are aligned with strategic priorities
  • Optimize resource allocation across competing initiatives
  • Build and mentor a high-performing PMO team including program managers and project leaders
  • Develop project management standards and training programs across the organization
  • Foster a culture of accountability, execution discipline, and transparency
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on project feasibility and execution risk
