Vice President of Construction

Facility Innovations Group•Austin, TX

About The Position

The Vice President of Construction is Facility Innovations Group’s senior operating leader for construction delivery, responsible for turning contracted work into safe, well-executed, profitable projects. The role leads project management, field supervision, construction support teams, subcontractors, and partners from project turnover through closeout. Its primary growth priority is expanding the company’s industrial-commercial electrical business by building the delivery capacity, field leadership, and operating discipline required to execute larger and more complex electrical scopes. The role oversees a portfolio of approximately 85 active projects and a backlog of roughly $70 million, supported by a construction organization of approximately 50 employees. It combines portfolio-level leadership with regular jobsite involvement, including site visits, constructability input, and support for complex or at-risk projects. The Vice President establishes operating standards and execution practices, oversees project and financial performance, develops people and organizational capacity, and maintains safety, risk, and quality standards. The position also manages relationships with key clients, general contractors, national program partners, subcontractors, and suppliers; improves construction systems and processes; and leads the daily adoption of company-approved AI tools in construction work. The role reports to the Founder and CEO and the President / COO. It is based in Austin, Texas or Phoenix, Arizona, with relocation support and regular travel to project sites. Broader operating responsibility and potential progression to a COO-level role may be possible depending on performance and company needs, but are not guaranteed.
