About The Position

UCP Heartland is seeking a dynamic and proven management professional to lead our Residential Services Program. This senior leadership role represents the organization both internally and externally and provides operational oversight for services supporting more than 35 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), including individuals with complex clinical and medical needs. The Vice President will directly supervise three Program Directors overseeing 20 group residences across the St. Louis region. This leader will drive excellence through strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and staff development while advancing organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social work, education, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience at the director level or higher, preferably in a community-based human services organization
  • Experience with financial oversight and budgeting
  • Experience with program implementation and evaluation
  • Experience serving individuals with disabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of senior management experience in organizations with budgets of $5M+
  • Demonstrated expertise in leadership and personnel management
  • Demonstrated expertise in conflict resolution and project management
  • Demonstrated expertise in business planning and staff development
  • Experience managing multiple sites across geographically dispersed locations

  • Oversee program evaluation, reporting, and improvement planning
  • Assist in program budgeting and ensure operations remain within resource limits
  • Oversee financial performance and sustainability of programs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Board members, leadership team, and community partners
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team in partnership with HR
  • Mentor and coach emerging leaders
