At SimplePractice, we are dedicated to supporting the independent mental health practitioners who dedicate their lives to helping others. We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Community and Brand to serve as the connection point between our efforts to support practitioners and the practitioners themselves. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, spanning Social Media, Community Management, Events, PR, Livestreams, and more, to cultivate a relationship with our customers that is rooted in radical empathy. Your mission is to scale our community efforts into a primary engine for how we build trust with practitioners, transforming how we listen to, support, and lead the dialogue within the mental health ecosystem. You will be one of the most visible human faces from our company, ensuring that as we innovate, our customers always feel seen, heard, and championed.

Requirements

  • A 4-year undergraduate degree is required.
  • 8+ years of employment in a corporate environment, ideally within a SaaS or HealthTech company (Mental HealthTech is a significant plus).
  • Demonstrated experience as a compelling communicator with an established public presence. This may include a significant, highly engaged following on LinkedIn, a history of public speaking at major conferences, or a track record of relevant and influential content creation on online channels such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, or TikTok.
  • Proven experience managing diverse marketing functions, specifically across social media channels, PR, and large-scale event production.
  • A "see around corners" strategist who is comfortable with rapidly evolving digital trends.
  • A track record of breaking new ground with fresh, innovative executions rather than "retreading" old marketing playbooks.
  • An innate ability to interface directly with customers, translating complex business goals into relatable, trust-building initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific credentials/study/research in a mental health-related discipline is highly desired.
  • Direct clinical experience as a mental health practitioner is strongly preferred to ensure deep, authentic empathy for the clinician experience.
  • You should have a bias for experimentation and a high degree of comfort leveraging modern technology and AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and execute a comprehensive community and brand strategy that drives improvements in brand sentiment, product adoption, and long-term customer retention.
  • Oversee our online communities, in-person clinician meetups, event experiences, and advisory groups such as the SimpleCircle customer advisory board to ensure a continuous, high-value feedback loop between our users and our product teams.
  • Produce high-impact live streams and digital content, humanizing our decision-making process and building transparency with our community.
  • Build and manage our connections with a robust network of industry influencers and brand ambassadors to drive meaningful dialogue across the internet and at key industry forums.
  • Direct all Public Relations (PR) efforts and social media channels to ensure a cohesive, authoritative, and empathetic voice across all relevant aspects of the mental health landscape where we have the right to contribute.
  • Identify and adopt emerging technologies, including the ethical and efficient use of AI, to enhance community interactions without losing the "human touch."
  • Manage departmental budgets and apportion resources toward high-impact projects that balance creative innovation with measurable business outcomes.
  • As a member of the Marketing Leadership Team, contribute to the strategic guidance of our Marketing organization, ensuring that we remain an innovative and positive force for growth, while also creating an excellent environment in which to build a career for our team members.
