This role provides administrative leadership within the Department of Patient Services as VP Nursing. It is accountable for the successful implementation of initiatives in support of the nursing annual operating plan and core nursing care delivery systems. The position participates in the development of goals, policies, procedures, and budgets for various departments/divisions and ensures appropriate staffing, supplies, equipment, and physician relations. It monitors metrics to validate performance against national, system, and hospital benchmarks and to ensure the delivery of competent clinical practice and patient/family experiences are achieved. The role directs and oversees program development, performance management, personnel activities, and the provision of services, supporting the Chief Nurse and Quality Executive’s (CNQE) clinical strategic plan. Successful achievement of clinical quality outcomes and patient/family experiences is a key objective. The position ensures a high level of customer service, including patient and family-centered initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • If Master’s degree is not nursing, must have BSN.
  • Current Ohio RN license.
  • Executive Leadership Certification: NEA-BC or CENP.
  • 5-7 years of extensive and progressive administration experience.
  • 2 years must be at a Director level for more than one service area.
  • Shared leadership principles, and committee development required.
  • Executive Leadership Certification Required: NEA-BC or CENP
